Our English newsletter contains information about TCSF's Activities
and Japanese support for Africa. We hope to strengthen our
network with you by sharing information about our activities.

session, which is going to be held in the afternoon of
28th(Wed.) by African NGOs and TICAD IV/NGO Network (TNnet).

Gearing up for Civil Society Session at TICAD IV
==============================================================
After a period of tension over the issue of the access to the official
programs of TICAD, the civil society organisations from Africa and Japan
are gearing up for a session at the 4th Tokyo International Conference
on African Development (TICAD IV).
The program includes the proposal from the civil society on TICAD's role
for the achievement of the MDGs, the panel discussion on the proposal,
and the open discussion on the role of TICAD in the changing global
development scene. H.E. Mr. Boni YAYI, the President of Republic of
Benin, H.E. Mr.Joaquim CHISSANO, the Former President of the Republic of
Mozambique, and Bono (U2).
The civil society members expect to have positive and lively discussion
with about 120 participants from TICAD co-organizers, government, UN and
other donor representatives, private sector, and celebrities.
